The army grows!

I've been away for a while, busy with my commissions
and ebay but I managed to sneak a handful of nice things
in. Here they are in all their glory. Some stuff you may
have missed or passed up thats pretty good. When you
are aiming for an army of one thousand, no zed shall be
left behind.

7 zeds from Mega Minis, including 4 children. Great figs.
They have lots of them, too and very inexpensive.

These are zombies from Rezolution. They are some of my favorite.
I especially like the fat guy. The guy on the right is my first attempt
at undead african skin.

A repainted Horrorclix, I like much better this way.

Wyrd's monster baby makes a great zed.


I always pondered the idea of a boss zombie
like in the video games, you have bosses.
Maybe he started the plague. This guy is a Reaper
fantasy fig who is nuetral enough to look good in a
modern setting. I liked how his skin came out but
he has worms all over him. I hate worms so I painted
them black so they wouldnt show up too good!

    A nice collection of well painted figures, Rog. I particularly like the Rezolution zombies and I plan on reviewing them on my blog site real soon. You appear to have suffered a similar fate to what I had with the Horrorclix zombie cheerleader - she's badly bent out of position. This can be a problem with a lot of Clix figures due to the soft plastic they're made from but there is a simple soloution. Light a match and run the figure at ankle height over the flame for a couple of seconds. Reposition the legs to an upright position then immediately dunk the figure into a glass of cold water, whilst holding it in its new position. This will "freeze" the figure into place. Works a treat!

    There is another rezolution pack I dont have yet. It looks just as good. I thought the cheerleader was just being a zombie, lol. Thanks for the tip, Vampifan. I'll give it a try. I just got the chambermaid and she is doing it as well.

Victory Force Zombie Cheerleaders

I'm back!!! At least tonight. Its been almost a year. A crazy year with no zombies and no fun :) But we got some real fun tonight. Zombie Cheerleaders!!! From Victory Force, a great set of 6 zombies. This is the first personal painting I have done in ages. I took the opportunity to experiment a bit. I used a fresher look to the zombies, skintones that are almost human. I also used the opportunity to work on my hair technique a bit. Because of the girls red uniforms, I went minimal on the blood. Just by using the skin color lightly the basecoat of black showed thru enough to give a bruised look. I really dont have much time for personal projects so I do these quickly. I try not to be sloppy but I do need quicker techniques than I would do for a client. I hope you like them. Versus II

Another selection of adversaries this week. The heroes some I painted many many years ago, you may recognize the second figure... Zeds, a priest witha  wooden cross thru his chest, the iconic Zombiesmith, a waitress who would rather serve herself and two more Zombiesmith favorites, at least the one of the end. Still no time to paint my zeds as I rebuild my business and life. I did get in the mail the new Wargames Factory Zombie Vixens, they look suhweet! I can't wait to dig into them, well I guess they would like to dig into me as well. To Bryan and all you other zed freaks, keep the flame burning, you're keeping me inspied to come back :)
