Victory Force Zombie Cheerleaders
I'm back!!! At least tonight. Its been almost a year. A crazy year with no zombies and no fun :) But we got some real fun tonight. Zombie Cheerleaders!!! From Victory Force, a great set of 6 zombies. This is the first personal painting I have done in ages. I took the opportunity to experiment a bit. I used a fresher look to the zombies, skintones that are almost human. I also used the opportunity to work on my hair technique a bit. Because of the girls red uniforms, I went minimal on the blood. Just by using the skin color lightly the basecoat of black showed thru enough to give a bruised look. I really dont have much time for personal projects so I do these quickly. I try not to be sloppy but I do need quicker techniques than I would do for a client. I hope you like them. They are available for your horde from Victory Force Miniatures;

Nicely done mate. Glad to see you posting again and its great to see such nicely done figures. Bravo sir!
ReplyDeleteThanks Brummie, I had a blast painting them. In fact they helped bring me down off an anxiety attack-working too hard. Painting is good therapy!
DeleteI like them a lot! It's good to have you back, Roger. Is the letter M on their fronts significant? I'm thinking Mayhem City but that's just because my campaign is set there.
ReplyDeleteThanks Bryan, I hope to have more stuffed painted, at least a few each week to keep me sane. The M stands for my old high school and the uniforms are real but simplified.
DeleteThose are excellent! I like your treatment of the skintone. I had seen the unpainted minis on the VF site, and thought they looked okay. Now, after seeing your paintjobs on them, they are a must have.
ReplyDeleteI hope you buy some, if nothing else they are a blast to paint. I'm glad you liked them :)
DeleteThese look great, I love the varying skintones.
ReplyDeleteVF have had these out for a while and I was wondering who'd be the first to show them off!
Great come-back Roger
Thank you, Zabadak, its great to paint some z's again. In fact I have had these in the works for a very long time. I wasn't sure they would get this good of a reception I am happy.
DeleteThank you all so much!!! Bryan, the M stands for a real life community I used to live in. The uniforms are accurate as well :) I am glad the skintones are going over well. I wanted to try out recently dead skintones. Not human but not quite a rotter either. Some of my tans came out darker than I expected but I like the effect. I am glad that by showing this VF may get more customers, they have really great service and ship super fast. BTW I have over 100 of their figs to paint :) They do however, have a simpler line of zombies that they admit to being filler for large groups and they aren't as nice as these but are still better than they claim.
ReplyDeleteThis is great!!! Very nice work and it is great to have you back on the blog.
ReplyDeleteYou have been missed! Although I got my dose of your painting skills from FB, it is really great to have you back here updating again!
Thank you Lord Siwoc. I hope to keep them coming.
DeleteGo Wild Cats! Very Funny- I like them a lot!
