Black Cat Bases Scenery

Image
Some great resin modern or PA scenery from Black Cat Games a really great company with really cool stuff and perfect service. We have some trashed couches and mattresses here. They are fun to paint and as you can see I got a little carried away, I'm not sure that a zed would even lay on these babies! http://www.blackcatbases.com

The Torn by Spinespur original figures

Image
Edit: I have learned from Spinespur that these figs are discontinued due to how thin they came out. The figures listed on their site, shown on webstores and Vampifans blog are the ones that are available now. So to see what you can actually buy please check out these sites. IN essence what you see here is a limited run. Some may be available somewhere but that is something you will have to find out if you want these three. My apologies for not noticing. Some creatures from Spinespur that make nice half skinned nude zombies. Bloody and horrifying they make a nice addition to my collection. Nice sculpts that are fun to paint. I used alot of drybrushing and washes. I started out with watered down elf flesh, then a red wash, followed by blue and black washes. I dryvrushed them witha light gray and then white. Afterwards I added really bloody spots, highlighted their guts and painted the eyes white.

Zombie Patients Painted

Image
These are the same zombie patients I reviewed early, finally painted. I am very happy with how easily they paint up and how good they look afterwards. I am encouraged to keep working on my 'hospital of the dead' with all the good doctors, nurses and other hospital staff and patients that are coming out now. There is also a set of 4 Zombie Hospital Staff from Recreational Conflict. You can find them all here; http://www.recreationalconflict.com/

The Zombie Freak

Image
A most unusual fig from the Black Orc sculptors page. I call him the zombie freak. He certainly isn't your average zombie but thats okay. He can be an abberation, a freak, something very different and much more deadly than the common shambler or rager. Sure hes funny looking but dont let that fool you, those overlong arms and big teeth can finish you off quicker than a horde of regular garden variety zeds! I love these Black Orc open sculpt figures and remember they are only a buck. I've earmarked a few more figs they have for conversions. But that is for another day. Today the zombie freak rules!

Zedversions

Well I'm up to 73 painted zombies on my way to 1,000. Getting to 1,000 means you grab up every zed you see and some you don't! They are nearby in your bits box or odd miniature drawer... This lovely lady zed started out as a beautiful resin Fenryll miniature. Somehow its legs got broken off, also her hand as she was gripping the base. She was a perfect choice for a zed. Her outfit wasn't too fantasy to fit in to the modern world. She was about to acquire the infection! After gluing her to a 25mm base, I added some wood filler to her broken off limbs, let it dry. At that point she was ready to be primed and painted. She won't be the fastest zombie on the table but she'll look good. This guy was a Horrorclix clone. I thought he would make a good zombie but when he got here I found out he had no mouth. Fortunately he is soft plastic so a conversion would take seconds. I sliced out a mouth hole with an exacto blade and since he was pretty clean I added a lot of wood f
